Technical information
Hosting and security services may process ordinary request data such as IP address, browser details, timestamps and requested pages. The final policy will identify any analytics or additional tracking that is actually enabled.
Purpose and retention
Information should be used only to operate, secure and improve the service; respond to inquiries; maintain research provenance; and comply with law. Retention periods should be documented and limited to those purposes.
Sharing and security
Information should be shared only with service providers or authorities when necessary and lawful. Reasonable safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.
